Django is for everything!

July 27, 2007

To those who think Django is for content only, here are some of the sites we (at Cuker Design) have developed using Django:

We have another 5 on the launchpad that will help fill out this list. That list will be published when those sites are up.

The Plan B one immediately sold me (of course, I'm partial to both the technology and the content).

Thanks for sharing this.

Great stuff, nice offices.

Congrats! These sites are really cool. I suppose they were deployed on slicehost. I think you could write (when you have some spare time) a detailed article on Django deployment with slicehost: how to install Ubuntu, Apache, SVN, MySQL, how to secure the server, etc. I know that a similar guide already exists (Irrational Exuberance) but another expert voice is always welcomed. I especially like your writing style: clear and coincise.

Good job. Very nice. I was already sold, but this was the icing on the cake.

It's not just for small apps, either -- we have a full-fledged medical record system built on Django and XUL.

Alberto,

No, the sites are all hosted on TextDrive. SliceHost is great, but I hadn't known about it before I had created our current policy.
